POSTURE RESTORATION

To Live a long, active, energetic life, few things matter more than good posture
-American Journal of Pain Management 1994, 4: 36-39

Have you ever gotten your blood pressure checked? How about your cholesterol or other blood work? Our bet is that you have. Even though you feel fine, you understand that there is a healthy range of measures that you should fall into. Being screened for these on a regular basis can help PREVENT problems in the future. Did you know that there is a healthy range for your posture too? Mathematically, we know what your posture (or spine) should measure to be healthy and normal and to prevent many problems such as arthritis and joint decay.

Posture affects and moderates every physiologic function from breathing to hormonal production. Spinal pain, headache, mood, blood pressure, pulse and lung capacity are among the functions most easily influenced by posture.

-American Journal of Pain Management 1994, 4: 36-39

Why do we screen for abnormal and unhealthy postures? Your posture is the window to your spine. Science has proven that an unhealthy posture can lead to a myriad of problems from headaches and neck pain to hip and knee pain to abnormal blood pressure and organ disease.

The more mechanically distorted a person is, the less energy is available for healing, metabolism, and thought.

-Roger Sperry Ph.D. (Nobel Prize in Physiology of Medicine 1981)

The beginning of the disease process starts with postural distortions.

A spinal screening is the only way to assess posture correctly and thoroughly and is performed on every patient during the initial health screening. Gathering this information will help us determine if chiropractic could help you and the best available care options. We utilize the principles of Chiropractic Biophysics, the most researched posture correction technique within the chiropractic profession. Posture correction is the only way to restore complete health to your spine, prevent disc degeneration, and bone breakdown. Correcting the problem will restore your spinal health to its greatest potential and allow you to enjoy life more fully.

Posture and normal physiology and function are interrelated. Abnormal posture is evident in patients with chronic pain-related conditions including backache, headache, and stress-related illnesses.
-American Journal of Pain Management 1994, 4: 36-39

When I originally came to see Dr. Jason, I was experiencing lower back pain, pain down the right left, a sore neck and shoulders. Before coming, I had tried stretching, epidural injections, and limited yoga. Since beginning chiropractic care, I have experienced more stamina, more flexibility, more strength, and less numbness. I have better athletic performance, better breathing and less pain. Integrating traction with my treatment and following up with “homework” has given me amazing results!
