FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

What is a first visit like?

When you arrive for your first visit to Corrective Chiropractic, our helpful staff will provide you with walk through your paperwork and make sure all of your information is accurate. Our office is a warm and open environment. Help yourself to tea or water or browse the variety of ways we provide health education to our patients. You may be greeted by our office mascot, Bella, the golden retriever. Bella is a favorite among our patients. Once your file is prepared, you will be escorted into an exam room to sit down and meet with one of the doctors.

Do you take insurance?

We are participating providers with some insurance companies.  Our office will verify your insurance benefits during your first visit.  If there is no insurance coverage, an initial examination ranges from $130-$255, depending on if X-rays are necessary.  Additional visits generally range between $45 and $65 per visit if there is no insurance coverage.  We also offer affordable family wellness plans.  If you would like to know specific details about your coverage, you can also call your insurance company and ask them if chiropractic care is included in your benefits and if Corrective Chiropractic has participating providers. ***Please note, our experience is that information given may be inaccurate depending on the customer service representative.  We will do our best to give you the most accurate information possible.

Will I be adjusted on the first visit?

In general, we like to review your examination findings, test results, reports, and X-rays before beginning any care so that we may provide the most specific and beneficial care for your needs.  At the end of your examination, we will schedule a second visit called a Report of Findings.  During this special Report of Findings, we will review your exam findings with you.   We will let you know if we think we can help, how long it will take, how much it will cost, and any homework you will need to do to help the process.  We will also answer any other questions that you may have. We recommend that if you rely on getting input from a spouse or another family member, that they come to this Report of Findings as well.

How often do I need to come?

This depends on both your examination findings as well as your health goals.   Some patients choose chiropractic care for symptom care and then stop. Some patients will choose to feel better and correct some of the underlying causes of the problems. Others will go beyond that and maintain their health and wellness through regular chiropractic care. The choice is yours. We will offer our recommendations based on how we can help and you will choose based on your health goals.

Can pregnant women get adjusted?

We use special supportive pillows and tables to adapt to the needs of our expecting mothers.  Research has shown that lower back pain during pregnancy is often due to the very thing that chiropractors address, sacroiliac joint dysfunction.  This is the reason so many expecting mothers experience relief so quickly with chiropractic care.

How old do you need to be to see a chiropractor?

Our office cares for babies who are days old with contacts being the tips of our fingers and pressure no more than what you would place over a closed eyelid.  Parents describe the care their child receives as gentle and light and many new babies will eat or sleep right through their visit.  Research shows chiropractic care provided by a chiropractor trained in pediatrics is extremely safe.  Just like any form of healthcare, a chiropractor evaluates and cares for a child differently than an adult.  We receive many referrals from area practitioners, medical doctors, other chiropractors, and happy parents.  Furthermore, we continue to be involved in research showing the continued high safety rating with chiropractic care for children.

What techniques do you use?

We use several different adjusting methods depending on the specific needs of our patients.  Our office cares for newborn babies through older adults well into their nineties and everyone in between and we accommodate our adjustments according to the needs and comforts of our patients.  We use diversified manual adjustments, low force instrument, drop table, and specific posture correction.
